Dust Motes

Dust Motes

A Poem by Mahigan
"

Yes, it is about dust motes. But read before you judge.

"
I lay awake in the moon's pale light
Silvery resin wafting down from above
Alighting on my sullen frame
Before slowly settling on my bedroom floor
I watch the dust motes dance in the light
Their rhythms so different than in the day
Twisting and burning in the heat of the sun
Sinuously twirling in the cool of the moon
Were it that I could dance as they
Free my weary forms of all cares
And merely dance slowly around in the freon air
Spinning and leaping as I fall to the floor
Settling slowly into the downy matting
But alas it so that i can merely watch
The dust motes dance in the pale moonlight
