And if someone asks me the purpose of life, I would undoubtedly say it's to create everlasting art that would outlive our lives, for them to be a part of something eternal rather than being concealed away, hindered by our mortal selves. love this, because I am a painter and can relate to the many of the words you use to portray what goes in to creating a painting...a sketch, perhaps, then a light wash a subject, colors, and then the paint keeps getting thicker and lastly the refinement....so that the viewer gazes at unique art....magic!

I really like the wordplay here. This is outstanding writing. Without any substance, this would still be very good writing on it's own. That's hard to pull off. Most of us can only do one or the other but rarely both at the same time.

Great poem and concept, but I'm especially stricken with how well executed the rhyming is. A poem can easily become stiff when a writer is trying too hard to commit to a rhyme scheme, and this work eludes that trap with grace. Well done.
