Please.

Wading through a swamp of void,

no light, but fright,

for agony and torment you cannot avoid.

Any glyph of glee shall be destroyed,

for blindness shall replace your sight;

and your dream, nothing more than a grand fantasia.

No escape from this endless night.

Dwell in your ethereal euphoria,

for yes, you are born with this piercing blight.

// They cried; they died;

their damned lives they defied;

save them, before more essences of life subside.

Author's Note

Hi guys, it has been a while since I last posted my writing. As some of you might know, I'm a 15-year-old student in Hong Kong. This week has been disastrous. 4 suicides in 5 days, ranging from 11 to 21-year-olds. As a fellow student, I feel just as helpless and hopeless. Here in Hong Kong, no one really enjoys studying: everything is taught in an exam-oriented way. It is a common thing for us to be asked to memorize the marking scheme. Education is completely messed up here.

Sorry guys, it's a long note. But I just have to tell you guys what hell children in this "glamorous" city are going through.
