detached sadness / dancing hill

detached sadness / dancing hill

A Story by maybaby
"

i wrote this after i found out that my mother's ex-boyfriend's daughter had committed suicide. it describes the odd sadness i felt and how i could not connect to the tragedy, although i recognised it.

"
a girl in a forest,
a girl i once knew,
a girl with promise,
a girl not quite new,
a girl who didn't,
a girl who did,
a girl who couldn't,
a girl who slipped,
a girl who said:
"i'll be back soon"
she always came back,
they always come back,
not this time.
a girl in a forest,
a girl from a tree,
back into the earth,
to the place i hope she'll be.
a girl has no name than which she is given,
a girl has a name from which she is delivered.
