My Sister Visited

My Sister Visited

A Poem by MBUYISA
"

my sister left many years ago, she visited me yesterday and i was happy

"

My sister visited!

Many years has passed

Since my sister breath her last

She never visited all these years

She is in heaven with the angels

The message can never be clearer

Her days were like a flower

That flourishes today

And the wind blows over

And it goes away

Unlike the flower

Her place will be remembered

And her legacy will live on

She visited last night

I saw her smile, I knew that a blessing

She was beautiful than the last time, I saw her leave

So I asked, what she's been doing

I guess she had a lot to do

She asked me what I’d like to do

I told her I would:

Ask the Lord how and why He made all living things

Listen to God telling His favourite stories.

Listen to God tell why He loves mankind so much.

Ask God to tell me about the blessings

He gave me that I wasn't aware of.

Learn woodworking from Jesus

Find out what was funny to Jesus while

He was with the Disciples.

Ask Jesus what were His favourite foods while

He was living in Israel

Ask Israelites; how it was like to eat manna everyday

Hug Eve, and discuss sin

Count the lawyers who 'made it'.

I bet there will be more than I think.

Find out from Jonah what it was like

To be in the belly of a fish.

Have long talks with the heroes of the Old Testament.

Personally thank God for all the many, many blessings

I've enjoyed in this life.

Before I could finish counting, she said…

You see? I’ve been quite busy

But I will check how many lawyers ‘made it’

I’ll tell you when I revisit.
