mouth full of actions

mouth full of actions

A Poem by Michael

Goodbye
Washed, dried, and sleep
Goodnight
Self will set you free
Walk against the road
Push, trip, and swallow
Reach for the Hand
Pull it in
Save us from our sorrow
Let go for now.

As the story unfolds
It was you who said I would be here
Killing pain, with the pain
Its all we know
How to cope, how to deal
You can't escape it

So perfect
Your expectations
20 years dedicated to future
2 decades wasted
Just to feel alive

I hear the alarm
Ringing in my ear
Do not bother
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up
Oh God, don't wake me up
Their skin sleeps tonight

I'm not quite sure how to dissect this piece but I know that I enjoyed it very much! It was put together in a way that made it flow quite nicely. :)
