Anger flames

short ,but sweet:)

burning like a fire bright

gives me fever through the night

a flaming blaze that grows and grows

when it will stop i do not know

fury,anger in my mind

to calm down i have no time

blinded by the raging blaze

can't see straight my eyes are glazed

sparking, spitting, hissing too

taking over control of you

senses are forigen

control is vain

brurning hard like a pain

the only savior to this plight

Is one to true friend to help me fight

I need to comment on this one again, reading it more thoroughly.

It has been a very long time since I was engulfed with such flames of emotion. Usually when I get mad today I become obsessively clever and scheming (which is not all good I know), but actual - honest - hysterical rage - I believe (I hope anyways) is beyond me today.

Your words here point out to the wastefulness and weakness of letting yourself be overcome by anger and frustration, and so for that, it is a good thing for others to both read and observe not only within themselves but others - and hopefully will allow them to recognize and curb it should it appear in the future.

Bullies mostly. I would beat my head against the wall when I got home, literally. I'm - on meds today and seeing a doctor every week for PTSD so we talk about my school days and what they did to me - and - I'd like to think we're making progress.

Because I can be, (and have been) a Grade A Smartass. Knowing too much for my own good or overextending my reach - much like a kid who is asked to take only one cookie and then plots to steal the cookie jar later. That would be me. :D

Yep, I have a few true friends, I can count them all one hand - but - they are true friends, and that's what matters ...

True friends are hard to find,but once you find them they can never be forgotten:) I have been known for my share of mischief in school and at home;) and I can be a smart-allic at times.

Well I don't know if it's so much mischief as doing little things that cause people to look at me and say, "David !" Not necessarily cause I'm in trouble or anything, but cause I'm doing something weird or, as you say being a smart-allic at it.

You must have something there. Many times I knew I was a smart-A, I knew WHEN I was gonna be a smart-A, and I knew HOW I was gonna be a smart-A, and even though I knew what bad things would get done to me by bullies if I did it, I did it anyways.

So - perhaps it's instinctual for us intellectuals to shoot out some steam to the occasional crowd - daring to be different and in defiance - to stand apart. Neither being a follower nor a leader, but someone to stand on the sidelines and yell derisively at the others. :)

My best friend is imaginary - like yours. That's not so bad a thing really, until you argue, then it can be a problem. That hasn't happened too often of recent. And yes, I liked your poem. ^.^
