Wishes

A little poem about wishes:)

i wish i could write you something so beautiful that the angels in heaven would cry with joy

i wish i could give you the moon and the stars

i wish i could make the sun shine for you whenever you are down

i wish i could give you everything in life including the finer things

i wish i could kiss you beneath the moonlight

i wish we werren't so far apart so that you might hold me

i wish i could lean into your arms and you could whisper softly to me

i wish i could hear your voice and take your hand in mine

i wish i could bring down a star from the sky so that all our wishes could come true

i wish for many things but my greatest wish has already come true

because i have my greatest wish and my greatest wish is you

I actually rather like this poem. It's got a great sense of repetition I guess, and it's also got a really beautiful ending I think. I really like the sort of spacial/skyborne imagery with the emphasis on the sun, moon and stars, and for the record i quite like that play on words: "i wish i could bring down a star from the sky so that all our wishes could come true..." with the idea of wishing upon a star. It fits in quite well.
The only critique i can offer really would be the lack of punctuation, but that's really quite miniscule to be honest.
I sincerely look forward to reading more of your writing Megara. Keep it up.

Smile, it lets the world wonder what you've been up to ! *Grin* But yes, if you are really smitten with this boy you might always make sure you are in his way (politely). Listen to his conversations and find out what he is interested in. Learn his schedule so he can see you are there and giving him that look like - "C'mon ! Ask me out or something."

Sometimes we guys are so dense we need that. I know when I was 11, I was with my Dad and we were at a restaurant. At the time I wasn't seeing Tyr. There was this girl about my age that got in front of me and dropped her napkin. I picked it up and handed it to her without a word.

She sat there for a moment looking at me - waiting - waiting - I had no idea what she wanted, and then finally her Mummy called her so she left. Dad cuffed me on the back of the head.

I said what's that fore ? He said, can't you tell when you're being flirted with ? I said no. He shrugged, well, maybe a few more years then. I'm really not much better today. :)

I'd like to weigh in here, and agree with dw' because personally (and to this day) i honestly cannot tell what to do when a girl flirts with me, let alone if a particular girl is flirting with me either. So for that matter, i guess i could say we guys are rather dense at times, so yeah, to all Ladyfolk: drop hints a bit more clearly if not blatantly. It'd certainly help some of us. :)
