when

when

A Poem by Kira
"

This is so old but it still stands true sometimes we aren't seen as who we are but the image that was formed for us

"
You look at the me you would love to see
the small petite girl
the soft spoken honey of a voice
the polite smiling bundle of joy
but i'm sorry, that was never me.

When did you decide i wasn't what you wanted
.when did you cast my concerns about the voices in my head when i was six as hearsay
when was the screams in the night just sneezes
when did the blood splatters become paint
when was I trying to get your attention not help
when did all the attempts turn from attempts to cries of attention and if i really felt like that I needed to locked up or put down

But screw it I'm done trying
for you to do anything
to see me
to know me
to hear me,
Would just be too much for your mind to handle
because i know that you don't care people see what they want
trying is too hard when its a one way street
