Demands and Questions

Demands and Questions

A Poem by Melissa Jamma
"

When life feels overwhelming. Everyone wants something from you, wants you to change, and you just need a moment to rest.

"
Demands, questions, chores
Do this, do that

Be this
Be good
Be right
Behave

make the right decisions
Do the wise thing
Don't slip, don't fall

What is the right decision
We seem to consistently be questioned

But the world is so vast
Our mind is so big
So many experiences
Interpretations, desires, dreams, goals

How can I really judge you
Your world is your own

How can I please you?
Your joy is your own

How can I befriend you?
Your soul is unknown to me

I love you, but you don't know it?
Do you?

Do you feel it too, or am I all alone?
