Going Home

Going Home

A Poem by linear
"

We all return, at least once.....

"

It happens sometimes

often while walking

but at times even when we sleep

It's a feeling of melancholy

a need to be somewhere

like going home

a solitary whisper in the wind

a voice

the ghosts you left behind

Mountains, streams and mighty rivers block the path

still there is a need to leave

to return to that place

That special place

we call home

Home is only where the heart resides, it's in the people we love, if we do not love, then we are truly homeless.

This is how a felt last semester! It really spoke to that emotion when you are just dying for that warm, familiar place. "The ghosts you left behind" ahh this poem is beautiful. Great work!!!

Thank you for your comment and taking the time to read :O)
Well written. Makes me homesick, which is saying something as I am currently at home.
