Take a Drink with Me

Take a Drink with Me

A Poem by linear
"

Hahahahaha!!

"

Sitting in a bar, not waiting

Just watching and remembering

The times we shared

Seeing you enter, all eyes on you

The men with lust, the women with envy

Me with a lump in my throat

Now those days are gone, like you.

As a flickering flame of a candle dies

So you blew away

Older now but not any wiser

I look at all the pretty girls

Even yearn for them

Flirting with the boys

Short skirts low cut tops

I await my chance

“Bartender” I say

“ a round of drinks for table twenty three”

One boy, two girls

The dark girl looks up, smiles at me

Licks her lips oh so slowly

Smiling back I leave

She follows, oh she thinks she knows the game

I pull her down the allyway

Kiss her softly, as I trace her face

With fingers oh so lightly

Eyes wide open

She feels me enter her

A short sharp pain

As my knife cuts deep, oh so very deep

I whisper, Louise I love you

Red warm blood oozes

Sticky to the touch

I drink my fill.

A dark one from you! are you stretching too? Seems to be on the menu today,ha pun intended, well done! I did not expect the ending until I got to "Eyes wide open She feels me enter her" and then my spider senses started tingling, poor girl, didn't see it coming. Vampiric and dark, fun to write sometimes. :)
