Humanhate

Humanhate

A Poem by linear

How many times have you passed me by
not seeing me, not knowing
I'm alive

How many times do I need to breathe
until you see
my heart bleed

And how many times will I die
before you're quite satisfied
your soil be cleansed

Your war charriots with wheels that maim
swords of iron
hold the blood of nations

Wrath is your God
malice and spite your very wife
yet you know my name
and slaughter me
for your gain

How many times will you walk on by
how many lies can you tell?
my name is Innocence
you knew me well

you knew me well, but the wording suggests they didn't know you at all, innocence, love, names people call themselves, then walk on by. Where are the open arms of love, where is the innocence in human hate, hate is just the flipside of love when the innocence is in question. This one really makes one think, well done. : )
