lush and lonely

lush and lonely

A Poem by Mercelus
"

Everyones lonely sometimes.

"
This is just a mindless illustration of loneliness.
Such a soft touch,
and a sweet smile.
Craving the gentle ease of your voice.
This is a lonely night,
though i will not cave,
I will not beg.
All i can do is wish.
Wish for what could have been,
and hope to quench this insatiable hunger.
Screaming on the inside,
I am the horizon in flames.
Unable to keep this poker face,
One can only be strong for so long.
Built up just to breakdown.
Sit atop the steps
Attached to an abandoned home.
For no one lives in this house.
Just an empty heart
yearning for a touch a true affection.
Begging, save me,
Only by the expression
deserted and disoriented.
possibly delusional.
For this is but a mindless illustration.
