I've written a lot about cutting before in poems- something I dealt with during my younger years- and I really liked the words you used in this poem to describe it. Even if you weren't exactly describing "cutting' per se, I loved the analogy you used. Very well written. You evoke a great emotion in me, like I feel that I need to get my own escape as well. Just... wow. I use "powerful" a lot when I describe poetry, and this is no different. Your poem was great. It really made me think :)
