Oh, Goddess of love, 

rose of love within my heart. 

Sing now of passion, 

the gentle rose is singing, 

tender heart is blushing red.

You are now my rose, 

the blushing flower of beauty. 

The joy of my soul, 

it sings anticipation, 

the joy of love does await.

Oh, rose of my heart, 

sublime love you always bring. 

The eternal song, 

love I ever sing for you, 

you sing the song of the rose.

Oh, my blushing rose, 

ever the joy of my love. 

The heart does sing joy, 

it is as soft and gentle 

as love’s beautiful young rose.

Well done Mike, i have written haiku and senryu strings of verse but never tanka ...this one id delightful ..:)
