Such a Nasty Curse

Such a Nasty Curse

A Poem by *Evelen*

To fall in love is a nasty curse,

A course you can’t control.

Rash emotions fill your mind.

Impulse decisions are made all the time.

Wanting to be closer,

Needing your lover,

Not really caring for yourself,

But only caring for the other.

There is no more pride when in love,

You do stupid things all the time.

You can’t control your burning cheeks,

As you look at those eyes that make you weak.

Feeling stupid as you notice you’re wrapped around his finger,

And there’s nothing you can do but fallow his wishes.

When in love questions fill your mind.

Sometimes you’re too scared to ask them,

Yet sometimes you’re foolish enough to risk it.

When in love his arms are your home,

Your protection from the outside world.

His eyes show you your future,

Gleaming with such intensity,

With such beauty.

Yah…

Being in love can be a nuisance,

You can never seem to control who you fall for.

Pathetic yet romantic,

Heart flutters yet heartbreaks

Anything can happen

With such a nasty curse.

I second Kirstin's suggestion. You could divide it into a couple of stanzas, which will incline not only the structure but make it more, I'd say, poetically 'edible' for the reader. I hope you get me. :)
This is a very impeccably acceptable truth what you just wrote.
Well done.

This is good but maybe try splitting it into stanzas to break it up a bit?
