In This Kiss.

Just a small poem on the beginnings on love, and taking that chance.

Defences high and spirits low
From all the hurt you've come to know
Unsure whether to stay or go
My offer there, my heart on show

Two tears trip over tired walls
Your mind pursues forgotten halls
The yearning in your heart, it calls
And slowly, your guard, crumbles, falls

With trembling hands you're well aware
What fleeting, small hope brought you here
Promise yourself to be sincere
We're lost inside a dream we share

Searching for doubt, but finding none
No pleading urge to turn and run
And finally this love has won
We came as two and left as one

Who knows in this what we will start
But in this kiss, I found your heart.

With the beginning of amorous deal you presented a lovely piece.
I am amazed by its structure and rhyming pattern which reflects your sincere efforts.
Four stanzas with four lines each with same rhyming is the result of much contemplation.
