A Poem by mikl paul

untitled. pillars to the same home.

then and the more light;

    calming what was cast before.

shouting through the center of

      some hallowed place,       you,

  you,       will you      know me.

whenever was the initialness of

   being;    new weight,   feather shaped,

all paleness becoming transparent as

    it strains        to touch

                   finger     to      lip

    to        sign of the cross

    to    my heart      your  lip.

tell me where they     are

     watching from       and i

    will let them see.

tell me    if you belong

     to a single   place,

  so that I      may see.

I’ve written your name

    in sand.    with stones.

  crescent above a doorknob ,

     black font reminding

it all       of you.       if,

just to say the dream,

     just to     tongue to

tongue       and the sky tends

     to each of us        and

 a harbor   isn’t a prayer,

     and a your name       may

be a prayer,          or a habor,

    or a name.

Emotional write... I'm reminded of many things in this, and oddly, I "feel" more than I think when I read this one. You have a wonderful gift for getting the heart and emotional wellspring of being. Your gentle, questioning nature...beautifully done. I'm a fan, as always.
