A Poem by Mira
"

An unfinished story

"
As the song started playing

At the store

Where the flowers were sold,

I thought I saw you pass by,

In the shadows of the leaves.

I looked on for long

But realised

It was just the breeze blowing by.

When the train came to a stop

At the platform where we last met,

I felt I saw you in the crowd

Hustling past me.

I heard our conversation in the murmur of crowds

And wanted to run back down the street

Where we last met.

The crossings, the alleys, the passing cars

And the stories;

I wait to find you once again.

Once familiar places are so reminiscent of people and times of our lives we wish we could go back to. The feeling of loss is so tangible here. Your closing line speaks it in volumes. Nice to meet you, Mira!

Someone is missed. Someone is on another's mind. Yes the story is incomplete. Nicely conveyed and visual with it. Good to read you Mira.
