Sight

Sight

A Poem by Cassie Travis
"

This is a poem about what sight is, and how beauty is interpreted.

"

A beautiful thing,

Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Frosted windows,

Glistening in the moonlight.

Snow sparkling,

Only for you.

Can be felt, but beauty comes with sight,

Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A lovely thing,

Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The spark in the eye of a loved one,

And the smirk on their face.

Their beauty,

For you to cherish.

Can be told, but beauty comes with sight,

Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A fascinating thing,

Though beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The vibrant hues of flowers and rainbows,

Bright colors filling a canvas.

Cannot be felt, or heard, or touched,

Only seen.

Yet,

Maybe beauty is not always in the EYE of the beholder.
