Strange

Strange

A Poem by The World Stinks Of Females

Vines and mysterious words twist over me
and I try to believe, I try to see that he isn't just
a person, but it's hard to see when my eyes
are taped shut. His words whisper over me
and I don't believe that he is what I need to be
that he is what I need to have that he is what I crave in order
to be called beautiful. I remove the tape over my eyes
and then I see his flaws, his eyes, his lips and I walk
away because I will not be fooled, I will not be fooled
today.

I love the first line, along with the rest of this write. A kiss can easily fool someone into emotions that are destructive.

A good strong poem. Nice imagery too. If only more people refused to let their eyes remain taped shut, content with the lie that is given to them of what they need, what they should want, and who they should be.

Great message delivered with this poem.
