Confessions of the Silent Heart

I come up with this poem when I was about to sleep, I just can't close my eyes without writing it. I don't know if this can even be called a 'poem' ^_^" Not a professional.

Confessions of the Silent Heart

Sleepless nights always thinking of you

Countless memories we’ve been through

After every argument I lead you to

Still, you just won’t say “I love you”

 

I remember back then catching you glance

Wishful thinking if you loved me by any chance

Coz; if you do, I could have gone to the rhythm of the dance

Reality strikes and you don’t, indeed a hopeless romance

 

My heart knows that I’m just a friend to you,

Closing my eyes not to resort of being blue

But I’m not that strong and you know that too

Like limping away a thousand miles away from you

 

It really pains me to let go of you

But seems like you really want me to

So don’t worry I’m doing everything I can do

For a glimpse of a happy heart I aimed for you to

 

A confused heart lies within me

“Life goes on so don’t worry” my mind tells me

“It’ll be okay and that’s all should be,

You did the right thing and now he’s happy”

 

You’ve always been my moon; seems near yet so far

I’ll keep admiring you from a distance like a star,

And like a shooting star falling from the sky,

A finale; silent but beautiful way of saying goodbye

 

Never in time would I forget you

Always have that special spot in my heart, its true

So promise me to be happy and never feel blue

Or god forbid I might never let go of you
