Don't Lie to Yourself

Don't Lie to Yourself

A Poem by Amy

Don’t pretend to be happy,

forcing yourself to lie,

don’t act like it’s worth it,

quit being a typical guy.

Don’t rush into things,

if they’re not in your heart,

never say you’re “gonna”,

if you don’t plan to start.

Satisfy yourself first,

you already know how you feel,

quit telling yourself a lie,

take a look at what is real.

Don’t worry about what others tell you,

take off that stupid mask,

just be yourself,

accept the mistakes of your past.

Don’t look into my eyes,

if all you’re going to do is lie,

never say "hello",

if you really mean goodbye.

Make up your mind,

quit these mind games,

don’t lie to yourself,

or you’ll forever remain the same.

Sometimes you just need to lye to yourself... lol!
Example) my stalker boy who watches me out the window, basically I am fond of the attention.
I lye to myself saying I'll stop and tell him no, but I won't let go. You know this! hahaha
