On those train tracts

On those train tracts

A Poem by Mika Jeuelle

I want to stand on those train tracks,
Dare that train to just come on, Throw my head in the air and laugh as though I am invincible, Wave my arms and shout with no one to hear or care. My eyes are shining But it is not from love, It comes from something I cannot quite describe, I feel intoxicated, high Although I haven't taken anything to warrant it, I stand there, My hair flying in the wind, My laugh rippling through the air, As I dare that force to come, To stop me in my tractk, To try to put an end to something we call life, For at these times I feel as though nothing else can hurt me more than what already has.
