Day Dreamer

Thoughts circle ‘round my head,

Yet I’ve already crawled out of bed!

These tails of great lands and great deeds,

Mischievous squirrels and popcorn weeds!

A trader turned friend,

Though we don’t know it until the end…

These day dreams my mind creates,

Gush through my fingers to form shapes.

Sweet dreams of when worlds unite,

Of a love so pure it holds on through the fight,

Of lives bound only by secrets and scorn,

Of joy found only in the light of a new morn.

These dreams formed to make you a believer.

And I sit here; the day dreamer.

Nice poem. Great subject. It's funny how daydreams can make your imagination run wild.

I think that to make this poem a bit stronger, you could make it flow a bit better. Don't get me wrong, the rhyming is nice...but it needs a bit of fine tuning.

The second line is kind of confusing for me. Thoughts circling around your head...even though your out of bed? Maybe some more explanation and such?

Thanks for the piece.
