Dagger of Broken Trust

Dagger of Broken Trust

A Poem by Scarlett Dale
"

A poem my friend wrote.. It's her first. Let me know what you think!

"

You made me trust you,

You made me fall.

Then you threw me away,

Like your little rag doll.

You took the dagger,

And thrust it to my chest.

You were my everything,

You were the best.

Then came another,

One who I put in my trust.

Apparently you did too,

And she took the next Thrust.

Now I stand here,

Wounded and Broken,

Unable to move,

Wanting to speak the unspoken.

I want to scream!

I want to shout!

All while my tears,

Come pouring out.

I trusted you,

You had my all,

Then you pushed me over,

And I continue my fall.

Alone and untrusting,

Unable to see,

If there may be others out there,

Reaching out for me.

The pain is too much,

Unable to bear.

What do I do next?

This isn’t fair!

With tears rolling down my cheek,

You smile your beautiful smile,

As you push in further and further,

This dagger all the while.
