Pale Sunlight

Pale Sunlight

A Poem by missysue
"

Of losing yourself.

"

In the pale sunlight,

the colors yellow, blue and pink seemed somehow

too bright.

I never wanted to change.

I only wanted to stay, in that safe place.

I don't want to be here,

where everything is new and scary.

But, the road to authenticity is paved with

rocks.

Stumble, trip...but I will find me there.

Waiting, the one who will always love me

and never leave.

My "self" simmering in the pale sunlight.

Ah yes, the journey to self-discovery. It didn't specify whether it was sunrise or sunset, but I like to believe that it was the pale light of sunrise ... of new beginning. Your description is simple and vivid, and that is a wonderful combination.

I enjoyed very much.
