Savior

Something I went through, a dark period in my life.

The dark is closing in

Where has everybody gone

I can't find the light

Have I done something wrong

 

I can't find any smiles

Am I looking in all the wrong places

Everywhere I look, I just see frowns

Please somebody direct me to where I should be

 

Why does nobody help me

I feel a dark sheet covering my thoughts

I crumble to the floor

I am completely encompassed in black

 

A hand reaches out and grabs mine

I let out a scream

The hand abruptly lets go

I close my mouth

 

I look at the owner of the hand

I am now on my feet

The owner smiles a great smile

I am now following

 

A smile burns through the dark sheet

I am being led to a circle of light

I feel all the blackness fading

The circle, I realize are smiling people

 

I am feeling brighter

"We missed you where have you been?"

I am now beaming, I am smiling

"We're happy to see you so happy"

 

The depression is gone, was it ever there

I have friends, I just wasn't looking

I am back, I am returning to myself

Everyone is smiling, it's contagious

 

These, my friends, are my saviors

Pulled from the torture of darkness

They saved me from myself

And brought me back to life
