This Blood of Mine 2

This Blood of Mine 2

A Poem by Mizuki Tsukiakari

That foolish girl, that young foolish girl

The blade, so shiny

She, so foolish, attracted

The silver blade she holds in her soft, small hand

Her thumb, so clean, so smooth

That girl, child, this foolish child

So unaware of what she is about to do

The blade slices her skin

The foolish girl stares at the flowing redness from her thumb

That girl, child, foolish child

So awwstuck by her blood

While her lips part slightly, a whisper escapes

"Blood."

She runs from this building into a cloudy day,

The dark clouds rolling across the sky

That girl, child, this foolish child

A bloodthirsty beast stands before her

Lusting,red eyes

Pure,white fangs

Death, stalking figure

The beast stands

That girl, shild, this foolish child

The lips of this beast stares towards her wound, her cut

"This blood," He speaks, "This blood, your blood, this blood of yours."

That girl, child, foolish child

Runs into a shadowy house

"Blood!" She screams. "Blood!" She calls.

This foolish girls mother, father

"Darling, you are bleeding. Why does your blood flow on your skin?"

This girl, child, foolish child

So scared, so worried

"Blood. This Blood of Mine."

Author's Note

Mizuki Tsukiakari
(Is "awwstruck" spelled wrong? What about "shadowy"?) I was like five years old, in my dads tool shed. I picked up a razor blade because I thought it was really shiny and that it was a toy. I ran my thumb lightly against the edge, and freaked out 'cause it cut me! I've been afraid of sharp objects since then! ;p
