Life Lost Love

Life Lost Love

A Poem by M Lamont

I can’t find you
You can’t find me
We are standing
In front of each other

How did we loose each other?
How did we loose ourselves?
Did we misplace us?

Searching but not sure for what
Is there something to find?
Do we even want it if it turns up?
Maybe it left for a reason

Take a cue from this
Take the first step
I’ve packed what’s left of me
Ready to be lost
In what is left of my life

Oh, the crushing agony of this one!!!! How sad to lose each other and your/them/selves all at once. This is a great poem, I love the ending!

How we at times and end up with a great amount of distance between us in relationships to the point where we lose ourselves in the process and try to move with our lives, emotional, and deep poem.

Heartwrenching emotions expressed so well in this poem! Some questions are unanswerable. No telling why people drift apart. Lydia
