Up Here

Up Here

A Poem by M Lamont
"

This was for a contest based on the picture shown

"

Work and toil
I drag this cart
A beast of burden
God bless my heart

My only function
I do it so well
So I will enjoy this odd break
As I dangle for a spell

If the man is on the ground while I am up here
One must wonder and I beg to ask
Why is it me
They always call the a*s?
