Fun Lost Mind

Fun Lost Mind

A Poem by M Lamont

Desperately trying to find

The exact moment in time
Where life began to unwind
And I started to lose my mind

I think I might have been at home
I just might want to blame the garden gnome
His smirk so brightly shone
With his look of condescending tone

I laser my focus on my cat
I know he has peed inside my baseball cap
He does such things, this and that
Like the time he shat upon my lap

Could my appliances conspire to destroy?
Or are they playing me like a child’s toy
This evil plan is a distracting ploy
Eliminating me of any and all joy

One more look only to find
The place I left my precious mind
Never gone, in its rightful place in time
Don’t laugh at me now, please be kind!

Really??? I can't laugh?? D****t! I love this piece. It's so full of gloom and humor, an excellent contradiction.
Lines that made me lmao:
Oh crap, it's all of them. Sorry. I can't help the laughter, although I did try. Well, ok, I didn't try, but I wanted to not have laughed since you asked us not to. This is great, I'm faving it for when I start to blame the linoleum.

I enjoyed this one, whimsical! Yeah! Nice job! I like the title, I wonder if you could work it into your last line somehow?
