Escape and Arrive

Escape and Arrive

A Poem by M Lamont

Slipping to the low where my fun starts
Loosing my hold, finally unsecured
I plunge into a fit of ecstasy

Don’t toss me a life preserver
No need for it, I will only push it away
Dipping my head back under the naughty water

Join me, will you, in this hijacked ride
No destination mapped out
Ending where I never knew I wanted to be

Slash the tires and toss the keys in the pond
There is no going back…ever
Take my picture and frame it

I have finally arrived at me

My favorite line: Ending where I never knew I wanted to be.
The excitement of something beyond what you can imagine and going for it!
Nice job Mark!

Sounds like you have the courage to sink or swim on your own and don't mind the struggle. Light on the surface, but deep underneath. Thanks for sending to me.

I really like this. It feels sensual and whimsical. I like the idea of doing something for pleasure and not looking back- thanks!
