What Now

What Now

A Poem by M Lamont

Dear God, what have I done?

I thirst for more knowledge about you

Yearn for more understanding

Searching for your vast amounts of secrets

In my quest, I find a teacher

A scholar that has seemed to solve some of the puzzle

I listen, understand and watch h the picture take shape

Interjecting my own pieces

With the picture getting clearer

I look to others who will help me

And those who will appreciate this messenger

Brought into the circle, they see what I see

But my doubt sends me on a small journey of another truth

One that is not preached about

The view of my new teacher now askew

What to do with this information?

How do I tell others of my new comprehension?

They are not with me, not getting my realigned point

My research revealed to my teacher

In front of my face, behind a closed door

I hide from those who wish to capture me

My usual welcome entryway is now my safe haven

From those who wish to take me and my mind

To the second location

nice title, really suits the poem!
i like it, like the way you built it up, the relation between student and teacher.
Though i'm a person with an own belief and religion, i do get your statement, and respect is, what now ... i would say follow your heart and go were you feel at your best!
nice poem :)

what now indeed. It reminds me of when my castle of beliefs crumbled. Kept me humbled. But so lonely when you're the only one who's getting the new meanings....the evolved meanings. But you fight to stay away from the second location. Why? It's lonely at the top was always my reasoning.
I really enjoyed this. "When the student is ready the teacher appears". I like to think of God as having many faces. Don't worry about what you've done, I'd say, worship your new vision of our ever-evolving god. Ya know, or not!
Peace!
