A Poem by walt whitman

A legend hangs his head

Not in regret;

A legend cries

Not in sorrow;

A legend hangs his head

All that he has ever known is

Gone

Memories is why he

Cries.

For now

He has to make new memories.

For now he has to walk

Alone

Into the abyss; proud

Holding his head high.
