I wrote this with, someone in mind.

My heart raced a million times faster,
when I saw you from the corner of my eyes.

The gaze you gave me that one day,
was making my heart flutter.

I swear I caught you looking up,
from the first level to the next.

You said 'Hey' that was enough to make my day,
your smile was sufficient to brighten me up.

It's hard to read your expression,
for you had a look that's pensive.

I don't know the reason
for this infatuation.
But I don't mind,
not at all.

We are from different worlds.
I know its impossible,
given our age and our status.

Give me a sign,
anything.

Okay, not exactly the best.
I tried.
I wrote down what I was thinking about.
Need to improve.

well, this was not bad at all, if it's not your best, but it's not bad at all...
I like how you underline the issue of relationships when it comes to age and status making it look like there are two people from two different worlds, even though there are right in front of each other. There is also a tone of pleading in this, which goes with the narrator's wish to be with this other person.
