Away

Away

A Poem by Jacqueline
"

I've left writing and I'm not sure if I'll be welcomed back

"
The keyboard made the letters scramble
I spend my days rambling,
Making little sense

I practice my prose to a
Nonexisting audience-
No clapping for the struggling performer

Words I've used as a whip in the past
No longer
Has its sting

It's flaccid and weak
The caliber of the conversations I speak
Has dropped low

Will I ever be half the person I used to be
One never
Knows

Your scrambled keyboard makes perfect sense to me.
and your whipped words still have sting.
As someone recently wrote to me..."glad your writing again, so much we would have missed"

The Bar-Keeper's-Friend leaves a lustre to glow - chuckling here, welcome back?

The day a poet can't ramble is just another sad day in existence... ya know?

Nothing is lost, the fire is still banked up just waiting for you to change your mind that it's absent.

Welcome back! You certainly still have a few words left in your whip!
