Structured Arrhythmia

Structured Arrhythmia

A Poem by Christopher Michael Smith
"

Caught in the fabrics of delicate space and time....

"
fingers grew numb
to the soft temperament
such delicate flesh
regaining feeling
to no avail
harshly suffocated
with a mind full of junk mail
lubricated dermis
hopes of grandeur
civil circus
just behind the door
locked, compressed
diseased, depressed
savage carnivores
asleep in the shade
3 rings of boredom
in twilight they fade
constant black
saturation of all
condensed metaphors
standing 6 feet tall
no description
nothing to say
only the future
will slay this day
repeat, restore
wipe out, come clean
this reality is vague
& twisted in dreams
3 times the danger
so triple the score
fight for a relapse
question what for
tainted textures
the beauty of insanity
clogged receptors
drug filled autonomy
fight for the right
fight for the wrong
collapse in the nature
hold still, won't hurt long
organized dismay
structured arrhythmia
crimson flames
barking the orders
of the same bullshit games
no need for insult
embedded inside
no need for a rescue
because no one survives
amidst cluttered chaos
just behind the soul
disguised appetites
hungry for all
taste for passion
thirst for crime
all woven in these fabrics
in this tapestry of time.....
