Perfection

Perfection

A Poem by Monday Parker

I grew perfection in my womb

An even blend of

Me and him

Blue eyes

Red hair -his daddy’s color

His wide alert stare

Focuses on my face with love

The sweetest little cry

Awakens my body to

Care for him

My senses heightened

My awareness of his needs

Is something born into me

The woman’s body is incredible

The changes made to

Create, grow and deliver

Makes me respect myself more

I grew perfection

And I will continue to

Develop

Raise

Teach

This perfect little part of him and me.
