My mental monster

My mental monster

A Poem by Domenic Stewart
"

Having some trouble sleeping, decided to vent my feelings with this.

"
Restless nights and tiresome days, all part of one big maddening phase, inside my mind is where a monster lays.

Looking just like me, but made of all the secrets I pretend not to be, my inner beast just begging to be free.

Anger and aggression, regret and tension, morose and misguided passion.

Looking back on the past, lost to the future fast, my pain stone-cast.

Yet there is light at the end, over the hill and around the bend, solace to be found with my lover and friend.

Quick and short, just writting from the top of my head like usual. Whatever criticism you have is fair.
