Eventide

Twilight weighs lighter than daylight,

dreams to be fairer than a groaning night

of minty outlooks.

Painting itself with sober colors,

         it leaves a brighter attitude

triggering blue to exhale red,

         making the energy harlequin,

                            with a slight scent of dawn. 

After-effect observes how 

it lets violet twist with orange, how

it quivers peach and yellow,

just to underline its integrity and outshine popular hours.

a beautiful sunset used allegorically....sometimes when life seems to be darkening, there can be that brilliant, beautiful sunset when we find peace and love...a calming force to welcome the moonlight.

I have seen such sunsets. This is a beautiful word picture that causes our imaginations to replicate it. The thing about sunset is that it is so brief in its beauty as it fades into night. Maybe a metaphor for a well lived old age.

Sometimes there is no need to make any own explanations. Sometimes is good to respect author own meaning. This beautiful painting at your words. Maybe it should be put into the frame and people can just imagine how beautiful that Eventide must be through your eyes .

I find the Eventide to be very mysterious. All the colors speak something to me and I try to decode their language. This is just one episode of the conversation.
