A Poem by moog-drika
"

Because it's a revamp of a piece I penned 15 years back.

"
Hope waits for the wick
to kiss the blast
over the taper.

Firestorm breathes
and tears come out
of qualm.

Interesting poem. enjoyed reading 🙂

Your poem is a powerful and evocative exploration of the themes of hope and destruction. The imagery of hope waiting for the wick to kiss the blast is striking and speaks to a sense of anticipation and expectation. The idea of firestorm breathing and tears coming out of qualm is a poignant reminder of the destructive power of nature and the ways in which it can bring both devastation and renewal. The use of vivid and evocative language throughout the poem is particularly effective, creating a sense of intensity and urgency that draws the reader in and keeps them engaged. Overall, your poem is a powerful and thought-provoking reflection on the complexities of human emotion and the ways in which hope and destruction can be intimately intertwined.

You're Welcome, Moog-drika!
"Kiss the blast" a really interesting and unique concept. Something very visceral. Yes, it may be heart warming but on the side of blaze, blast and carnage.

No it won't. It's here to create trouble.
The below lines are perfect.
"Hope waits for the wick
to kiss the blast
over the taper."
They could stand alone. Thank you, my friend, for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Thanks so much. Means a lot.
Here's to finding peace to every qualm. I like what Mark Twain said about worry, "I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened." I believe that is true for all of us. Tom Petty in "Here Comes My Girl" said, "I find myself worrying about some silly little something that doesn't add up to nothing." Alexander Pope said, Hope springs eternal in the human breast." And I'm inclined to agree with all of them. This was a nice and simple way to illustrate the same thoughts in verse. I enjoyed the read.

I'm sure they visualized it more deeply than I did. Thank you so much.
