A Cup of Mushroom Tea

A Cup of Mushroom Tea

A Poem by Brittany

The City Sleeps

Inside a cup of mushroom tea

Where colors came and faded,

And dreams opened crates with lost teeth

Releasing the days, where smiles haunted

Like rusted nails, pinned to a wish

For something we had,

But never lost

Beneath the floor it wallows,

In shadows with only the mind to read

The pages ripped,

As words spilled

In memories that molded,

Inside a cup of mushroom tea.

This is good. As is your other poem which is confronting as well. Interesting stuff.
