ocean water a clear, salty blue
sun beating on my face as I wonder

Children free to play
scabby elbows and bruised knees
all I hear is laughter

Two hearts, two rings, two lives conjoining to one
cameras flashing, parents crying
memories being made
where are you on this beautiful day

Every twenty-four hours beings a new day
but beautiful days come once in a while, rare
don't miss a single one and never have to ask yourself
