End of Debt

End of Debt

A Chapter by Oran

You're probably tired of hearing it all the time
In every poem, every single word, every rhyme
I'ts everything to me, so once I'll admit
If it wasn't for you, a path wouldnt've been lit

They can stab me thrice, but they can't take it away
From the very first verse I wrote that day
It will always be because of no one but you
Even though it's nothing like the picture I drew

Why'd it have to be yours, the smile I'll always miss?
Why do you do nothing, but still make me feel like this?
I can't remember how many times I tried to be yours
Even so, I couldn't walk through those closed doors

The smile on your face as you leap into his arms
As he promises you that he'll protect you from all harms
And the tone in your voice when you call his name
Whatever it is... I'm sure he feels the same

So this is my payment for becoming a writer
Holding onto someone I can't hold any tighter
So before you leave as someone I once knew
One last time, please love him as I should have loved you...
