Visiting the Visitor

Visiting the Visitor

A Poem by Rufus "Mr Blaque" Lacy, Jr
"

This poem was inspirited by a poem written by N o o d l e h e a d named "The Visitor" I wanted to write something for that visitor, I hope you are listening.

"

I know you, you turned away from me

Hiding that face of a memory

A past glance branded your likeness

Your attention is mandatory

Your crazy impulses had a lasting effect

I have been daydreaming

Smiling for some understanding

Of your reluctant demeanor

You are not coy

As my extension of companionship is focused

You must indulge and embrace

State your farewells to the visitor

Stop Standing by while I trickle for you

Converse with me

I see the sadness escaping your spirit

Forcing the darkness to watch a sunrise

You are the master of your presence

Hold in your howls

The leap of faith is in your possession

Passionate exchanges are desired

Your ability to express lucidly is staggeringly beautiful... I certainly appreciate the artistry that flows throughout ....we bleed... those of us who write or try to.. we bleed for everyone to see, though at times the blood is mistaken or ignored it is always there.. your ability to put into words and into form this bleed of anguish and emotion is truly to be admired... You always leave me mesmerised in your word-weaving and imagery.

Quite abstract, but with an easy flow, though the theme is somewhat elusive. But that's how abstract poetry is, the more abstract, the harder the message is to discern by anyone but the writer. I have several abstract poems.

I like this "Your crazy impulses had a lasting effect
I have been daydreaming
Smiling for some understanding
Of your reluctant demeanor."

The last 2 lines of this stanza, particularly, are clever.

Another good write! I shall have to start looking up my new found friends books online. Hopefully one day I can follow suite in the years to come. Keep up the good work!

The next to the last line is strangely ironic...faith being evidence of things unseen...a leap being an action requiring faith...we must believe we will land safely...but we can never be certain...I enjoyed this write...very good work.
