Daddy's gone

Daddy's gone

A Poem by Miranda
"

A gun is not a toy

"

The wheels turn

The dirt flies

People are on the sidelines

Are crying and crying

His life was taken

Much too soon

Why did he leave us?

Why did he go?

His widow is crying

While his children just laugh

For they don’t know the gun wasn’t a toy

Daddy’s not coming back

I hope they know that
