Inspiration

A Poem by Max

Awaiting Inspiration’s touch,
I glanced up to see your face
The subtle rouge upon your cheeks
Glowed with warmth and grace

Hair in curls, sunlight played
Upon your azure eyes
The depth of the thoughts behind them
I could only hope to surmise

Away you went as though the wind
Had blown you like debris
And though my heart was heavy then
Inspiration came to me
