Counting

Counting

A Poem by Samantha M. Tusspot
"

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with everything they have.-anonymous

"
some days i'd like to stop and count the ways
you'll never love me as i'd prefer it
but it does the heart better not to dwell on misfortune
instead i'll count the endless times i've made you smile.

Bitter sweet. You want to be happy, but you never get to the place you want. Very relatable. The final line is great , but leaves me wondering if you smile in return?

Sounds sad. Yet the positive view gives it a happy ending. Expectations often lead to dissapointment. The bigger the gap between Idealism and reality, the bigger the dissapointment. Nice job.
